The celeb fave restaurant on St Mary’s Street – a converted church – opened back in 2015 and won the accolade in a public vote. It’s the fourth year that the awards have taken place, with nominees from the hospitality industry heading to the Porchester Hall in London.

Another local winner was the Peter Street Kitchen, which won the award for Best Culinary Experience. Meanwhile, Peruvian-Japanese fusion restaurant Chotto Matte won the award for Best International Cuisine.

The chain will be opening its first UK restaurant outside of London next year at St Michael’s, the new development being spearheaded by Gary Neville.
