Do you regret not jetting off to Europe this August, like practically everyone else you know?

Never fear, there’s an easy way to get your continental fix! Just head down to the Queen Victoria Market’s Europa Night Market.

It’s on every Wednesday evening from the 21st of September until the 26th of October, and it promises to bring the best of Europe to everyone’s favourite market.

Every week, a different part of the continent will be spotlighted, so expect to enjoy food, live music and entertainment from Italy, Spain, Eastern Europe, the Mediterranean and France over the next six weeks.

It kicks off this week with Italy, where you’ll be able to enjoy traditional Sicilian arancini from The Arancini Man as well as wood fired pizza and meatball subs from 400 Gradi. The soundtrack for your evening will be provided by Siesta Cartel, Elvira and The Veneto Club Melbourne Choir.

The week after it’s on to Central and Eastern Europe, where Polish dumplings will take centre stage with Balkan music and traditional dance. Then it’s Oktoberfest time, with Bavarian Oompah performances and more salami than you can possibly image. Everything will turn Spanish on the 12th of October, with paella and fiery flamenco sounds, followed by the Mediterranean and finishing in a very Frenchy, chic way with souffles from Toyoki Souffle, oozy raclette by Frencheese and some very cheeky French mime.

So if you didn’t get to Europe this year, no need for regret, just head to the Queen Victoria Market instead.
