Best Sunday roasts in the UK
Elnecot has been ranked in the top 10 best reviewed Sunday roasts in the country. The restaurant and bar in Ancoats has been winning all sorts of awards since launching in the hip district back in 2017, and now its amazing Sunday roast has added to the impressive collection.
Acclaimed Manchester restaurant Elnecot can add another string to its bow, as it has been named among the top 10 best Sunday roast dinners in the country.
Its Sunday roast offering has been placed in the spotlight, in a new study released ahead of ‘Roast Dinner Day’, which is on 4th November. Elnecot ranks at number 10 in a list of the Top 10 best reviewed Sunday roasts on Tripadvisor in the study compiled by Tombola.
It’s the only Manchester restaurant that features in the list, with the top spot in the study claimed by The Lion pub in Bristol, while number two is Busby and Wilds in Brighton. Taking third and fourth spot are two Leeds restaurants – The Fox & Hounds and Dill and Bay.
Elnecot offers a range of different roast meats as well as vegan and vegetarian offerings at its Blossom Street restaurant. They are served every Sunday from 1.30pm “until they run out”.
Prices start at £14.50 for the vegan or vegetarian nut roast option at Elnecot, with the vegan roast served without Yorkshire pudding but with extra seasonal vegetables. And you can also opt for any of the roast dishes as a kids portion for half price.
Meat-eaters can choose between slow-cooked shoulder of Yorkshire lamb (£17), crispy, slow-roasted Yorkshire pork belly (£16), Lemon, thyme and butter roasted Goosnargh chicken with confit leg (£17) or go for the classic Dry-aged Welsh Wagyu topside (£18). They all come served with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, roasted carrots and parsnips, sautéed greens, cauliflower cheese and a rich gravy.
You can also add on EXTRA meat portions for £7, extra roasties for £4 and an extra Yorkie for £2.
