Chase the Mediterranean sunlight and dream at Esther this Spring.
With ‘Golden Hour at Esther’, throw away your worries and spend a golden hour on food and wines, sipping away into the hours of the evening.
From $45 a person, Golden Hour at Esther is refined, and balanced, with a variety of dishes to suit your taste buds. So let Esther take you to the Mediterranean, with the summer flavours.
Start your experience with perhaps a puff bread or taramasalata, or feel free to add on a cheeky Te Matuku Oyster—who doesn’t love a fresh oyster shot? The taramasalata is drizzled with olive oil and paired with fresh chives and lemon zest, for a refreshing, yet satisfying bite to start your experience.
Then dive straight into your pasta choice through various options: Farfalle, Tortellini, Spaghetti or Penne—the choice is yours. The pasta at Esther’s is always made fresh, and always satisfying, ensuring that everyone leaves the restaurant content.
For sweet tooths, finish off the three-course menu with an apple tarte, paired with vanilla bean ice cream. It is comfort food but elevated on a better level.
Named after his grandmother Esther, orchestrated by creative director, Chef Sean Connolly, is inspired by his own travels throughout the Mediterranean. Centred around simplicity, Esther’s menu chases the flavours of soft spices from Sicily to France to Morocco.
Sean describes Esther to be a light, casual and welcoming atmosphere, reminiscent of the familiar comfort of dining in a close-friend’s home.
“A chef is like a Hollywood set designer, delivering the whole package. Design, music, lights, theatre, magic – and then food,” Sean describes.
The menu highlights seasonal produce as the weather becomes warmer, with the menu of Chef pasta available for only $45 for two evening sittings, 5:30 pm through to 6 pm, Sunday to Wednesday. No better way to spend a golden hour than at Esther this spring to summer.
