I do love brunch. Whether you’re soothing the edges off the night before, or a catch up with friends, brunch is the perfect blend of breakfast and lunch. An excuse to eat two meals at once, and/or hit the bar for a little sharpener. And let’s not forget those bottomless options too. Whilst not all of these are bottomless, they are some of the best brunches in Manchester. I hope you agree.

Boozy Brunch in Manchester

Over in the Northern Quarter, the Bay Horse Tavern possibly has the biggest drinks range on the bottomless list. Everything from Mimosas (making sure you get one of your five a day) all the way through Bloody Mary’s to their house wine and beer – and softs. And the food menu isn’t so shabby either. For me though, it’s always going to be their Full English. It reaches spots others can’t reach.

Boozy Brunch in Manchester

Spend the day after where you probably ended the night before. The brunch menu is short and sweet, but the Bad Boy Benedict is a must try – rump steak, nduja sausage and tater tots, covered in a melted cheese sauce on a breakfast muffin. Add a glass or two of something boozy and you’ll soon feel ready for round two – or ready to go back to bed. Kill or cure.

Boozy Brunch in Manchester

Forget pie in the sky, it’s Brunch in the Clouds with Cloud 23. Indulge in soft fluffy pancakes, crisp waffles or eggs royal with a Bellini or a G&T. Or you could go one better with their bottomless option and have several. What better way to wake yourself up, and blow those cobwebs away, than with a view from the tallest building in the city. With a glass in hand.

Their brunches really are for everyone – veggie, vegan and meaty full English breakfasts, pancakes, chicken and waffles – these will see off the night before. And their new Mother Mary’s Sunday brunches are the place to be on the weekend. Think disco meets bottomless brunch. Alongside the usual prosecco option comes their Bloody Mary menu to top up your alcohol levels, all with guest DJ soundtrack. Now that’s a Sunday Brunch.

Brunch, but a little bit spicier. Rather than indulging in last night’s leftover vindaloo, dust yourself off, freshen up, and head into town for something distinctly classier. Smoothies, sweet and savoury dishes are on the menu (peshwari naan for breakfast? Yes please), and if you really must revisit the night before, try the Maharajas Breakfast which includes seekh kebab. Delicious with a mimosa.
