Situated in the heart of Manchester’s centre, Jasmine Grill is one of the most acclaimed Turkish restaurants in Manchester. Serving both Lebanese and Turkish food, expect a mix of dishes including influences from other cultures. The building has a traditional design to it, with the bricks showing, but there’s a very modern atmosphere created by the decorations and table layout. The Jasmine Grill serves all sorts of food, from burgers and casseroles to meze small plates. The Moussaka casseroles are a must try. A mix of Greek dishes, such as tzatziki and hummus, baba ghanoush and crispy calamari are also some of the options available in the meze sections. If you have the guts to do so, you should try the almighty and spicy dynamite shrimps served with the chef’s special spicy sauce. In addition, there are amazing grills. For example, the special chicken shawarma is a delicious kebab as the chef’s special sauces make it very tasty. There is also the Jasmine special mixed platter if four of you all fancy a kebab. With plenty of different options from meat to vegan and vegetarian, it will suit everyone, making it a fantastic place for a family meal or a night out with friends.

This restaurant follows traditional Turkish dining in the footsteps of renowned chef Seref Dursun. Since 1979, head chef Dursun and his family have ran this highly esteemed restaurant in Deansgate. Since opening in 1979, they have developed and perfected their methodology, growing their reputation. They also put the customer first. The set menus are priced at just under £12 at lunch and below £19 for dinner. This includes starters, such as the traditional Sucuk spicy sausage and the Muska Borek, which is filo pastry fried and filled with feta cheese, eggs and herbs. For the mains, the specialty lies in the kebabs. From the chef’s special lamb doner to the Bursa (lamb), Pilic (chicken) and Adana (lamb) kebabs, high quality and care is clear to see in all of them. Topkapi Palace also has a large range of other main courses, including vegetarian options like the Turkish traditional dish called the Imam Bayildi, a mix of sauteed peppers, garlic, onions and tomatoes in stuffed aubergine.
