Best places for lunch in Manchester

Situated in the buzzing suburb of Altrincham, Tre Ciccio is perfectly situated near the Metrolink station if you’re coming from the city and is definitely worth the trip out. The pizzas are as authentic as the come, and their chicken and potatoes are a real culinary delight. They pride themselves on having Italians chefs too, and you can really taste the difference in their food. With two restaurants in the city centre, and one in the old market town of Knutsford, Evuna is definitely a fantastic choice if you want delicious tapas and a cheeky vino to go with it. Their menu features some classic Spanish dishes such as ‘Chorizo al vino tinto, calamari and tortilla de patatas’ and you can get three tapas for £10.99 Mon –  Sat 12-6pm and from 1pm – 9pm on Sundays – absolutely no rain in Spain (although, it is Manchester at the end of the day…)

If you fancy being transported to the bustling streets of India, then look no further than the Indian Tiffin Room, with two locations in Cheadle and Manchester. Their offering is an amalgamation of popular regional dishes, perfectly curated for the North West, but not taking away from the authenticity of the spice. This street food is already proving to be very popular on the Manchester scene, and is worth a visit if you want to try something a little bit different.

Home is where the heart is, or where the food is in this case; with a delightful menu full of treats such as tandoori mackerel pizza, Portobello mushroom and bhaji burger and beer short rib ragu, Home is not one to miss. Spend the day taking in and independent film or theatre show, before visiting the restaurant on the first floor.

Whether you’re a lover of sushi or just want to try something a bit different, Samsi will definitely float your boat. Situated on Whitworth Street, it’s the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle on a very busy city and take solace in it’s beautiful surroundings. The restaurant itself has been bringing fresh, tasty Japanese food to Manchester since 1993 and is a good one to try for a real taste of Asia.

Whether you’re after a full-English or a healthier smoothie bowl, Love Thy Neighbour has something for everyone. Set in the picturesque, quirky suburb of Chorlton (with one in Liverpool if you’re visiting our Scouse neighbours) this has to be one of the most Instagrammable places in Manchester, if you’re that way inclined. The menu is extensive, and they even have a piano at the back if you fancy a little singalong.

If you’re after something a little bit different for lunch, they we would highly recommend giving The Drop a go. The food Is excellent and a real asset to Altrincham. Not only is it fresh and authentic, they have a great selection of beers and cocktails too. The atmosphere is always welcoming, and the staff will make you feel like part of the family.
