If you couldn’t guess, we’ll tell you – this place serves up some seriously sexy schnitzel. It’s been crowned the best schnitzel restaurant in the UK, and we’ll tell you why: once you’ve tried it, you’ll want schnitzel forever from Schnitzel Forever. Keep it classic with chicken or try out some Austrian veal, pork loin, or even portobello mushroom for our strictly veg friends. Try the surf and turf schnitzel if you’re looking to kick it up a notch, and definitely don’t forget to grab some of the iconic sides, like potato and coleslaw salad. While this venue’s cuisine is more German-focused, it does offer a geographically diverse drinks list (yes, even the beer) that’s worth a try.

From the upscale sleek and chic interiors to the stellar cocktails bursting with flavour – oh, and let’s not forget the beer – German Gymnasium has everything you’re looking for. This warm-toned and cosy beer hall is located inside of a church on St Mark’s Street. The aesthetic doesn’t get any cooler and the food and drinks aren’t something to be forgotten either. At Kraft, it’s all about the beer, but that just means your culinary options are spread far and wide at London’s largest beer garden. And if you can’t make it to this super cool venue, don’t worry. Kraft has locations in Dalston and Elephant & Castle as well.

What’s German cuisine without beer? (We’d say lacklustre, but to each their own.) Stop in and enjoy some German-inspired street food like currywurst and Schnitzel alongside some light and airy, refreshing beers. Located just a short walk from London Bridge station, this laidback hangout is perfect for grabbing a bite and a pint (or stein) on the weekend with a group of friends.

Located right beside Borough Market, this spot is ideal to start or end a day spent around central London. Alongside the live music on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, this massive beer hall offers some seriously tasty dishes and classic beers. Katzenjammers, the lederhosen-clad staff and the oompah band are mixing up some seriously great vibes. Although they don’t do table service on the weekends, it’s definitely worth booking a table and giving it a try.
