The latest additions to the Michelin Guide have been announced and Manchester restaurant Another Hand, located on Deansgate Mews, has made the cut. The restaurant has been added to the November edition of the Michelin Inspectors’ Favourite New Restaurants.

The popular eatery is now one of 11 Manchester restaurants featured in the prestigious food guide. For November, 15 new additions made it into the Guide ahead of the annual launch ceremony when the Michelin stars, Bib Gourmands and Green Stars will be unveiled.

Located on the upper level of Great Northern Warehouse, Another Hand opened just eight months ago and has already impressed foodies across the city with its relaxed yet refined menus. The news comes just a couple of months after the team were awarded the Best Newcomer at the Manchester Food and Drink Awards held at Depot Mayfield.

The casual, neighbourhood-style eatery was launched by the team behind 3 Hands Deli, a firm lockdown favourite which popped up for a brief time just two units down from where the restaurant now stands. Danny Foggo of Holy Grain – who shared the unit with 3 Hands – and chefs Julian Pizer (3 Hands) and Max Yorke (Edinburgh Castle and Hispi) are at the helm of the Michelin Guide recommended eatery.

The restaurant joins fellow city centre dining spots Erst and Adam Reid at The French, and Osma in Prestwich in the Guide, which is updated every year. The menu at Another Hand features a number of small plates, as well as contemporary cocktails and natural wines.

The intimate, casual dining spot serves a variety of dishes, natural wines and hand-crafted cocktails. Its current menu utilises ingredients from local producers to create dishes ranging from whipped cod’s roe and chalk stream trout, to desserts including warm rye chocolate and apple terrine.
